Semalam ( sabtu ) sengaja digunakan untuk berehat, selain untuk diri dan 'ahli rombongan', juga untuk kereta saya, Vios ( mestilah disayang juga.... ). Hari ini perjalanan pula sengaja dimulakan lewat dan santai. Perjalanan kami hanya dalam 90 km/j, malam tadi orang rumah sibuk menyiapkan masakan untuk santapan dalam perjalanan nanti. Rancangannya tak payahlah singgah dimana-mana untuk makan.

Perjalanan seperti biasa juga, tiada apa-apa yang menarik. Tetapi suatu yang pasti, jalan raya yang kami lalui semakin elok nampaknya. Tidak seperti biasa, lopak sana lopak sini. Terkenang kisah la juga.... pengalaman sebelum ini yang selalu 'travel' dengan jalan darat, banyak betul lokasi jalan yang rosak.
Perubahan !. Memang banyak perubahan. Pekan Kota Kinabatangan kini sudah mempunyai masjid daerahnya sendiri. Indah tersergam di atas bukit bersebelahan Hospital Kinabatangan. Saya akan ulas dalam updated mesej saya yang akan datang. Banyak sangat idea sehinggakan tak tahu mana satu yang nak dimasukkan......
Kami berhenti makan ditepi jalan dikawasan Hutan Simpan Pinangah, Telupid. Anak-anak memang seronok sungguh makan dalam keadaan begini. Hinggakan makan berhamparkan newspaper pun dipanggil restoran juga ( he...he.... ). Selepas itu,terus menyambung perjalanan ke Kundasang dan mencari dimana lokasi Philip Garden Resort ( PGR ). Saya akan masukan 'entry' khas untuk PGR ini dalam updated akan datang. I just can say, PGR is a nice place for family holiday!.
Updated inipun dah 3 kali cuba di'published' dalam blog dari malam tadi lagi, tetapi ini sahaja masalah nampaknya. Gambar-gambar saya akan masukkan kemudian. Line tak berapa baik!.

Native Council got its maths wrong, says Chong
Kota Kinabalu: Political activist Dr Chong Eng Leong on Wednesday said the latest figures on natives in the State released by the Sabah Native Affairs Council (MHEANS) last week do not add up.
According to MHEANS Director, Mohamad Said Hinayat, Kadazandusuns or Dusuns or Kadazans make up 551,300 of the 1,485,800 natives throughout the State.
Bajaus or Samas or Bajau/Sama group, he said, constitute 28.4 per cent or 423,100 of the total number of Sabah natives.
Muruts, on the other hand, he said account for about 104,300 while the remainder 814,200 were classified as other Sabah Bumiputeras.
Dr Chong said the Kadazandusuns, Bajaus and Muruts add up to 1,078,700 "Éand therefore the remainder of natives should be 407,100".
"Could the apparent mistake be due to typographical error?" he asked.
He also said that it is almost humanly impossible that the Bajau population had increased dramatically by 344 per cent compared to 162 per cent of the Kadazandusun Murut (KDM) population from the period 1970 until 2000.
Based on the figures released by the Department of Statistics Malaysia, Sabah (for 1970, 1991 and 2000 Yearbooks), Dr Chong said the number of Bajaus in Sabah in 1970 was 77,271 and increased to 211,970 (1991) and 343,200 (2000).
The KDMs, he said numbered 215,811 in 1970 and increased to 397,287 in 1991 and 564,600 in 2000.
He calculated that the increase in the Bajau population during the 30-year period was 344 per cent while KDMs only 162 per cent.
He said it is "impossible" that the Bajau population had grown significantly while the KDM population had not.
He also questioned MHEANS on the status of Malays in Sabah because in the 1960 Yearbook of the Statistics Department, there was no mention of any Malays in Sabah.
Then in the 1970 Yearbook, it was stated that there were 18,262 Malays in the State that quickly increased to 123,810 in 1991 and swelled more than double to 303,500 in 2000.
Translated to percentage, he said the increase in the Malay population in Sabah was 1,552 per cent.
He described the more than double increase in the Bajau population compared to that of KDMs and the 1,552 per cent increase in Malay population from 1970 and 2000 as well as the official population of foreigners (614,800) in 2000 as simply "extraordinary".
Dr Chong said in his memorandum to Suhakam in 2004 and his papers to the Parliamentary Select Committee on National Unity in 2005 and papers to the Parliamentary Select Committee on National Integrity in 2006, he had stressed the extraordinary increase in Sabah population from 1970 to 2000 was mainly due to a huge influx of foreigners.
"These foreigners were classified as illegal/paperless immigrants, IMM13 holders or refugees, project ICs holders and legal foreign workers," he said.
But sadly, he said until today the Federal Government still denies the facts that, he fears, would soon challenge Sabah's sovereignty within Malaysia.
